Jewellery made with iridescent papier mâché beads.

I am really pleased with these iridescent papier mâché beads and think that are quite delightful.

They are threaded and knotted onto a length of soft and flexible flat artificial black suede cord. The necklace will become even softer when worn and can be gently washed and dried flat. It is fastened by a single papier mâché bead and a simple slip knot.

The beads have a lovely silvery opalescent radiance of pale turquoises, blues, greens and pinks and a tendency to subtly reflect any colours that they are worn next to.

I make the beads by twisting, heating and melting Tyvek and iridescent tissue.
